Quitting Is An Option
A Quitter Turned Winner
I hate that word quitter but the funny thing is, I'm guilty of quitting and throwing in the towel several different times during my life.
I've started projects that have gone unfinished; accepted and started jobs that I no longer have, and I quit college. 10 years went by, then 20, then Shorter University came along. I joined up, matriculated through, and finished.
Okay, it wasn't quite that simple. Working full-time; burning the candle at both ends to get papers done; and keeping up with homework only to start all over again in a new class every five weeks. My stamina was not like it used to be at age 45. I pushed on and along the way, I commissioned college students as tutors to get me through some rough patches. I just couldn't quit again.
The Beauty of Imperfections
That class ring you see above is not just ANY class ring, it's MY class ring. The dents & scratches captured in the gold are representative of the dedication and perseverance of the long road to graduating. I wear it with pride every day. It signifies steadfastness and the willpower not to quit. This journey began in 1983 and I graduated with the Class of 2007. It's never too late to undo the quitter in you!
What will it take for you to pick up where you left off?
